The National Office for Sanitary Safety of Food Products (ONSSA) signed, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Casablanca, on the sidelines of the Italian-Moroccan Economic Forum, a memorandum of understanding with the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade (ICE), in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch, the Italian Minister-Delegate for Economic Development, Carlo Calenda, and the Italian Ambassador in Rabat, Roberto Natali.
The objective is to establish a partnership with a view to strengthening commercial and industrial cooperation ties between Morocco and Italy, in particular through support for technological innovation and the development of agricultural production capacities.
The two parties also undertake to cooperate and promote the exchange of experiences, governmental and non-governmental experts and specialists, in particular in the fields of red meats in Morocco, through the financing of the realization of a Center Technological processing of red meats, the transfer of technologies and good practices in compliance with international health standards for the development of this sector, as well as the strengthening of the capacities of human and technical resources.
