The Regional Directorate of ONSSA in the South (provincial veterinary service of Dakhla and Aousserd) received on Monday, December 14, 2015 three executives from ONISPA (National Office for Sanitary Inspection of Fishery and Aquaculture Products) from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, for a 5-day course on inspection techniques for bivalve molluscs (MBV). The Mauritanian delegation was received by the Regional Director of ONSSA, the manager and executives of the provincial veterinary service and representatives of the INRH and the maritime fisheries departments.
The program of visits includes presentations on the missions of the various stakeholders, the national health regulations applied to LBM as well as practical visits in the field (shellfish production areas, oyster farms, mollusc shipping centers, freezing establishments of MBV) and the conduct of documentary, physical and analytical inspection operations of bivalve molluscs.
