LONSSA, the competent authority responsible for controlling the safety of food products, took part in the Sidattes 2013 exhibition which was held in Erfoud from 30 to 3 November 2013. On this occasion, the National Office for Food Safety , made available to visitors a stand at the level of the institutional marquee in line with the theme of the show which allowed the various visitors to learn about the various activities of ONSSA in terms of the preservation of the plant heritage, the control of plants of date palm, sanitary control of dates and derived products.
The various visitors to the stand were welcomed, throughout the duration of this show, by a team of ONSSA specialists who answered their various questions, guided them and made them aware by means of technical sheets on phytosanitary aspects. the cultivation of the date palm (use of certified plants, means of combating diseases and pests (Bayoud, Red Weevil).
The multimedia animation broadcast on screen, allowed for its part, to give an overview of the missions, the organization, the structures and the achievements of ONSSA in terms of management of the phytosanitary crisis of the red weevil and the health control of dates and derivative products.
Just as ONSSA participated in the information day on the development and control of the quality of date production held on the sidelines of this fair, with an intervention entitled “food safety: new legal framework relating to the authorizations of the establishments”.
