Under the effective chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the Interprofessional Federation of Red Meats (FIVIAR) organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the 1st national meat meetings red meats, on February 11, 2015 at the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute in Rabat, under the theme “Advantages and constraints of the red meat sector”.
This event, which is part of the development strategy for the red meat sector of the Green Morocco Plan, brought together professionals and representatives of the administration to discuss the evolution of the sector since the launch of the strategy. of the Green Morocco plan as well as the handicaps that hinder its development.
In his speech, the Minister insisted on the challenges of upgrading the sector and its modernization both upstream and downstream of the chain, and recalled on this occasion the positive progress in terms of coordination and cooperation with the national authorities involved and its support for the profession.
In its intervention, ONSSA presented the main support measures of the office in the development of the red meat sector, in particular in the upgrading of the slaughter sector, transport, processing and distribution. red meats and insisted on the need to comply with health standards.
