The Office National de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits Alimentaires (ONSSA) held its Board of Directors (C.A) on 06 July 2020, by Videoconference, under the chairmanship of Mr. Mohammed SADIKI, Secretary General of the Department of Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Waters and Forests, and in the presence of the C.A.’s administrators and members and representatives of partner institutions. This meeting was devoted to the presentation of the management report and the technical and financial achievements of the fiscal year 2019, and the main programs of the year 2020 conducted by the ONSSA.
Speaking at the opening of this meeting, Mr. Sadiki recalled the exceptional context related to the Covid-19 health crisis in which this Board is taking place, recalling the major role played by the Board during this crisis and the mobilization of its officers and inspectors, The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.
In his presentation, Mr. Abdellah JANATI, Director General of ONSSA presented the state of implementation of the main animal and plant protection programmes (vaccination, animal identification, fight against plant diseases, etc.) as well as the progress of certain priority projects and the results of the actions of the controls of food products and establishments (status of approvals/health authorisations,..) He also mentioned the advances in the use of new technologies and the digitalisation of certain processes. The members of the CoA also took note of the achievements in terms of governance, the financial achievements for the 2019 fiscal year and the main performance indicators, which are constantly evolving.
At the end of the meeting, the various stakeholders congratulated all ONSSA collaborators at the central, regional and provincial levels for the quality of their work and for their good cooperation with the various institutional and private partners.
