The Regulation, Standardization and Coordination Division at the National Office for Food Safety, welcomed Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the headquarters of the office in Rabat, Ms. Awilo Ochieng Pernet, President of the Commission of the Codex Alimentarius (CAC).
During this visit, the President of the CAC thanked Morocco for its active contribution to the work of the Codex Alimentarius.
Furthermore, she presented her main visions and strategic objectives including good governance and good management of Codex, efficiency in the development of Codex standards, awareness of Codex work, capacity building and effective participation of developing countries.
This meeting, which was attended by heads and members of national delegations to Codex committees, was also an opportunity to discuss the various important issues for Morocco as well as the constraints and difficulties of its participation in Codex work.
